The City's early plans

[edit]

If anyone in Saskatoon is working on this article, the Local History Department at the Francis Morrison Library, last I checked, had a copy of the City's original development planning book for the Northeast Circle Drive project. It contains additional history on Circle Drive itself, as well as discussion of plans that weren't followed through, such as the planned interpretative centre under the 42nd St Bridge and abandoned interchanges at 115th Street and Preston Avenue (before it was rerouted to link with Attridge). It would be handy to cite this book as a reference, too. 23skidoo (talk) 15:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The new "exits" graphic sucks

[edit]

That is the most confusing-looking thing I've ever seen on Wikipedia. What was wrong with the original chart? I can't make hide nor hair of this thing and I'm pretty sure it's got some errors in it (at no point is Valley Road part of Circle Drive, for example). 68.146.81.123 (talk) 23:08, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

→ The new list is designed to show all possible directions with detail and illustrate the highway layouts. Until recently also, there was no exit list. The list of exits as told in the section "interchanges" lists interchanges by the date built, not in order of highway. I could simplify the new list if you want a layout that may be easier on the eyes - at the cost of not being able to illustrate all directions of travel. Also, just so you know, this type has become standard in British Columbia Highway articles and I and other fellows are working to standardize this in many other highway articles throughout Canada and the world. The main highway is usually listed in red unless that section of highway is expressway/has intersections. Complex off-ramps are usually assigned dimmer colours and cross streets may use the full blue colour to make it stand out more. Thanks — Deltanalliance (talk) 23:39, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

11/16 cosigned

[edit]

I flagged the statement that the "entire length" of Circle Drive is co-signed as needing a citation. My understanding is only the section along the east is co-signed. The other signage elsewhere indicating "this road links to". Is there a source that confirms that the entirety of Circle Drive is indeed now Hwy. 11/16 or should the wording in the intro be changed to "for part of its length"? 68.146.233.86 (talk) 17:20, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I took it out. I drive the SW section of that road all the time and there is no co-signing of west and southwest legs. If someone wants to go through the trouble, this can be visibly verified by looking at the Google Street View images, the most recent of which date from fall 2016. 136.159.160.5 (talk) 22:14, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
