DYK Appearance

[edit]
Thank you. Though I'm unclear why you post a link to an old version of the article. All the best. Lsi john 02:54, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Because the version "now" may have changed from the version it was when appearing on WP:DYK. Anynobody 10:06, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It should be noted here that a 4-time diff diff diff diff accused Troll appears in an article discussion, where he's never edited, and provides an argumentative answer for another editor which does not answer the question.

As the question was posted to another editor, and as Anynobody's reply does not really address why, I will not respond further.

Lsi john 13:52, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Incidentally, irrespective of impolite User:Lsi john commentary, Anynobody's reply was what I would have probably said anywayz. Smee 14:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC).[reply]
    • That does not address why. That answer only repeats that the diff points to an archive. It does not say why you did it. The archive exists. Posting a diff to the archive in a discussion which will ultimately be archived, serves what purpose? This is the 'why' that I am asking about. Lsi john 14:10, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not joking, the idea of linking to an archived page when discussing WP:DYK, WP:GA or WP:FA is so that the page can be seen as it appeared when it was given the status in question. Anynobody 22:14, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
