I took the picture from the German wikipedia and put it in the article. To upload a picture, click on "Upload file" in the toolbox on the left side of your browser window. Tomertalk 07:31, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I guess that the picture is a male citron crested cockatoo, because it has black eyes and rather a broad beak.

For discussion[edit]

There is a section on the wiki for aviculture. From one point of view, aviculture (birds in breeding programs and as pets) may clutter the section on the natural science of the birds and alternatively, from another point of view, this is acceptable. The wiki natural science and aviculture pages already have many interlinks, but it is not clear where species specific aviculture pages should go. Is there a wiki approved satisfatory format for this? The avoculture section could extend to become a useful resourse, if it is facilitated. In the future many birds will (sadly) become rarer and so extensive knowledge of birds in aviculture may help to save the species for reintroduction to the wild. Similarly, other animals could have similar interlinking.

I think the best place to take this up would be at WikiProject Birds, a project you might wish to join. Cheers. Tomertalk 22:44, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This project idea put foreward today for discussion on the wikiproject birds talk page 23 Jan 2006.

Factual content of page[edit]

Which particular part of the page is in dispute?

There's a hidden note (HTML comment) on the page. Subsequent edits have somewhat mootified it since I originally wrote it. Tomertalk 21:52, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 20:43, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Page organisation[edit]

Should "Yellow-crested Cockatoo" and "Citron-crested Cockatoo" be on the same page? Are these two birds subspecies of the same species? Snowman (talk) 18:13, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
