Orphan[edit]

This page is pretty much an orphan, Baikonur is the only thing that really points to it. Are there any other cities that should be pointing to this page? -- BlindWanderer (talk) 08:30, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like there is some meaningful relationship between this and Closed city. On the Serbian version of "Baikonur", the link to "Closed city" appears in the same sentence position as "City of republic significance". On the Russian version, "Closed city" appears several paragraphs down. -- BlindWanderer (talk) 08:43, 17 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In Russia, closed cities are often (but not always) incorporated as cities of federal subject (including republic) significance. There is a definite correlation, but the concepts are still separate, as is their intent.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); October 21, 2013; 13:46 (UTC)
