Some suggestions for improvement as the article is expanded:

  • Template:Infobox Scientist should be added
  • Photograph should be added from a source with a free license, if available
  • Some basic biographical information required, including education details, any information on family, details of death
  • Lead needs expanding to cover all aspects of the subject's life and work
  • Article should be divided into appropriate subheadings
  • Information on work and inventions should be expanded and references required
  • References should be expanded and preferably converted to inline format. In particular, an explicit third-party reference for the claim to be the founder of the frozen food industry is required

Jimbaer (talk) 14:31, 21 May 2014 (UTC)On this point, the Linde Cold air freezing process was in use by "Baerselman Brothers", importers, at the end of the 19th century. They shipped some 200,000 frozen chicken and geese per week from three ports in Russia to New Star Wharf, Lower Shadwell, London over 4 winter months. This reported in "British Refrigeration and Allied Interests" March 1899. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimbaer (talkcontribs) 14:28, 21 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

69. 1956 - 1886 = 70, but he was born later in the year (December) than he died (October). 193.63.174.11 (talk) 13:26, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think one way in which this article could be improved is by including a section on Birdseye's legacy and how his innovations shaped the American food industry. Jtoman1 (talk) 02:42, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Middle Name

[edit]

If he was known as 'Bob' then surely his middle name was 'Robert' not 'Frank'? This is what other sources give. Also seems to be some confusion as to day and place of death.

[edit]

Was he ever a Captain?! :D 193.63.174.11 (talk) 13:26, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
