"Cabal" seems to be a pejorative term. While I realize that Microsoft has used the term "cabal" to describe the consortium that developed the manifesto, I question the appropriateness of the way the term is used in the article. Is there a better way to describe it while retaining the controversy over the way that the manifesto was developed? I am reluctant to do the edit myself since (full disclosure) I am an employee of one of the companies who participated in the authoring of the document. Thanks for taking heed of our WP:COI guidelines - in light of your good faith contribution and in spite of multiple references supporting the use of the word "cabal" I have replaced it with "consortium". Despite the critical nature of the article (which reflects the sentiment of the references) I would very much like to see the cloud manifesto succeed and I have a few ideas as to how that might be achieved which I would like to discuss with the relevant people - you can reach me at samj@samj.net. -- samj inout 10:11, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
