Bass Player

[edit]

The article currently states that Nadja Peulen joined the band in 2002, but I saw them live in Bristol University in 1999/2000 and Nadja was already their bass player then. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.244.209.127 (talk) 12:15, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"After Coal Chamber"

[edit]

This paragraph should somehow be added to the previous ones. It's unusual for a Wikipedia article to have such a paragraph after the discography. 188.60.224.216 (talk) 23:54, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm an idiot that can't write subject lines

[edit]

I was listening to the song stay, and it had the same lyrics as Fire Water Burn by Bloodhound Gang. Can anyone confirm?

I meant Sway

if you're referring to "the roof is on fire/let the motherfucker burn", those are classic rap lyrics "borrowed" from "The Roof Is on Fire" by Rock Master Scott & the Dynamic Three. (which you would've known had you bothered to visit the article for one fierce beer coaster).

Regarding unmarked revert of sourced material

[edit]

Hi, just wondering why you removed "Goth Metal", when I sourced it with a reliable link?

It already stated in the article a bit further down that their second album borrows heavily from Gothic Metal... though they are predominantly a Nu-Metal band, which is why "Goth Metal" is only secondary.

Thoughts?... Thanks - Deathrocker 16:07, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First off if you read the Gothic Metal article, it points out Goth Metal, and Gothic Metal, are two different things. Second, the source links to an AOL page which makes little mention of the band, and no mention of them being Gothic Metal. If you want to provide a source, do so, but lest make it a source that says what you want it to say, and list the correct genre to the correct place. Ley Shade 18:48, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So are you suggesting that I put "Gothic Metal" instead of "Goth Metal"?

The AOL Music link I provided [1] clearly describes the band as "Musical Styles: Rap-Metal, Goth Metal, Heavy Metal." which is what I put in the genre box. - Deathrocker 19:05, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes i am. Goth Metal is in itself a misnomer when used in the context its being used in, as is mentioned in this section. The band borrows from the Gothic Metal style occasionally, what they do not borrow from is the Goth Metal style. I suggest either getting another source, or pointing out the misnomer. Ley Shade 21:09, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I'll just put Gothic Metal.

You do know "Goth Metal" redirects to the Gothic Metal article, right? You may want to sort that out if Goth Metal is incorrect usage. - Deathrocker 00:41, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Im aware of it, but im unsure of how things stand in regards to redirecting to specific sections of articles. 81.157.83.176 00:51, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Goth metal" and "Gothic metal" are the same thing...

A removal, and thoughts

[edit]

This page should really be finished. Also, someone put "the bitch went to hell" down near the bottom, which I removed. It was from an unnamed IP, so I figure someone was just screwing around. Wycked (talk) 22:23, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

error?

[edit]

Why is this article linked to Category:Heavy metal musical groups from Alaska ? I think that's nonsense that should be removed. Dk pdx (talk) 14:12, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The band formed in 1993 or 1994?

[edit]

1993: The reference of Coal Chamber article: [2]

1994: Allmusic, Discogs

Bruno Ishiai (talk) 20:24, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Metal Underground can be considered a reliable source, and Allmusic is fairly reliable so I'd go for 1994. Яehevkor 20:32, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The "2014 - TBA" album

[edit]

Isn't it Wikipedia's policy that it isn't a crystal ball, and that albums that have yet to have a release date or title confirmed should not be posted? There don't seem to be any sources cited with the info that the album WILL be released in 2014, so I feel that the listing should be removed from the "Discography" section. Thanks Doyle524 (talk) 05:38, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That is generally the correct practice yes, I have removed it as unsourced. If I had noticed at the time I would have removed it sooner, cheers for pointing it out. Яehevkor 09:08, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
