ambiguity[edit]

"In thirds" is an inadequate description of the partition; a shield might be divided in thirds by parallel lines in any direction, by a Y (like some Swedish royal arms iirc) or inverted Y (like Hanover) … this might be per chevron throughout embowed, but there's probably a better term. —Tamfang (talk) 18:37, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
