Pantropical? overwintering?

Its cosmopolitan distribution is mentioned, but doesn't freezing kill C. hesperidum? "Pantropical", or sub-tropical?--Wetman (talk) 19:31, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't find the temperature requirements of the scale mentioned anywhere. It may be that it is cosmopolitan in tropical and subtropical conditions and in heated artificial environments like glasshouses. I found this source on the parasitic wasps used in biological control and they mostly have a minimum temperature requirement of 18°C. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:39, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
