Opening comment[edit]

The expression cooler or cold deck doesn't necessarily involve cheating. When Daniel Negreanu lost the biggest pot in High Stakes Poker with pocket 66 getting a full house against Gus Hansens pocket 55 who made quads on the turn, he called it a cooler. I believe the intent of the expression in that case is that that outcome is so unlikely that the player is justified in feeling like the other person cheated, even if they didn't. The usual espression for this thing is a "Bad Beat" 74.211.59.62 (talk) 18:36, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
