Criteria
[edit]- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS):
- I think the birth date here might be in error: "Major General Colin Hall Simpson, CBE, MC, VD (13 April 1896 – 23 August 1964)...", in the infobox and the body of the article you have him born in 1894.
- Fixed. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- "He served with the 49th (Prahran) Battalion...", can 49th Bn be wikilinked?
- Done. The modern 49th is in Queensland. In the shakeup it was replaced with the battalion I wikilinked, which inherited its lineage. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Typo here I think: "The news that Yugoslavia had offered to surrender reach Blamey...", perhaps "The news that Yugoslavia had offered to surrender reached Blamey..."
- Typo. Corrected. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- This reads a little awkwardly for me: "He organised the The Association, a right wing paramilitary organisation headed by Blamey which was established to counter a possible communist coup." Specifically "the The Association". Could this possibly be reworded? Also I wonder if it would be benificial to add that it was a clandistine organisation (minor point)?
- Good idea. Added. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- All major points cited using WP:RS.
- Consistent citation style used throughout.
- No issues with OR.
- Mallett, Ross A. (2007). Australian Army Logistics 1943–1945. University of New South Wales. Retrieved 31 October 2011 lacks a place of publishing. Is this available?
- Added. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- It is broad in its coverage.
- a (major aspects): b (focused):
- All major points are covered without going into undue detail.
- "Simpson participated in the Battle of Passchendale where he was gassed and wounded for the second time...", are there any details available for the first time he was wounded?
- Well spotted. It will be in his file. Unfortunately, I cannot get down there until next year. Hawkeye7 (talk) 01:40, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Too easy, if its not available in the sources theres no dramas. Anotherclown (talk) 02:56, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
