Tag removal[edit]

I am removing the 'unreferenced' tag for now in the hope that the facts in this article will be credibly cited. Regarding some the claims, too, please either give a reference (a survey, or a news article) or consider rephrasing. See Wikipedia:Citing sources and NPOV tutorial. sach1tb 02:02, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing the stub class assessment as this clearly isn't a stub article anymore. Also adding this to WP University. LeaveSleaves 11:35, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vasudev Balvant Phadke[edit]

Was Vasudev Balvant Phadke a COEP alumnus? Yogesh Khandke (talk) 04:47, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Can we get a newer and sharper logo of the College? The present one is blurred and reads "College of Engineering, Poona". Jobin (talk) 09:49, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done! The newer logo is sharper! canaar (talk) 06:26, 29 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Clubs of College of Engineering, Pune[edit]

The list of clubs is getting too long and none of them have too much content in them. Would a tabular form suit here?Jobin (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 16:17, 2 December 2011 (UTC).[reply]

I think you'd be better off doing a prose "list", organizing information about the clubs into paragraphs grouped by genre (sport clubs in one paragraph, academic in another, and so forth). Tables aren't much good if there isn't a lot of specific data to present. Danger High voltage! 10:14, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That seems to make sense, Danger. Will work toward that, sooner or later. Jobin (talk) 07:53, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ambiguity in number of students in infobox[edit]

The infobox shows the total number of students to be 3800. There is also a mention of 2800 undergraduates and 70 postgraduates, which add upto 2870, are the remaining PhD students or this a typo or is the info out-dated and partially updated? Jobin (talk) 07:52, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Check this article on mr.wiki and the infobox. It shows that there are 3000 students, 2300 UG's and 700 PG's! Info needs to be corrected on both the wiki's. Lets find out the real numbers from the college itself. BPositive (talk) 11:02, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Seems like the number of undergraduate is correct on the English wikipedia. Just see the first reference of the article, it shows the number of students admitted to first year. Though this does not provide a fool-proof reference, you can get a good idea.Jobin (talk) 15:19, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Admissions to Post-graduate and PhD programs[edit]

The admissions section contains only a sub-section of admissions to Undergraduate programs. It would be useful to add information on admissions to Post-graduate and PhD programs. Jobin (talk) 03:34, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Added new pics, section[edit]

I've added some pics I took last year. I also added a new section architecture and reformatted the present gallery. We need better quality pics of events such as Regatta, Zest etc. The current ones are really very bad and do not depict the events as they are. Also, a separate section for each group in college? Seriously? The logo should be in a better format too IMO --Suchakra (talk) 05:21, 15 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
