Woolman was known as "Wolly" to his employees, according to my late Georgia Tech roommate, who sat on his lap as a toddler while he played poker with the mechanics in the hangar, including his father, who was a mechanic, waiting for all the DC3's to return. I'm not sure of their policy now; but at least up until the late 1980's, every Delta airplane passed through their Atlanta maintenance hangars once every 24 hours.
