Do the Colonna still exist? john k 17:15, 12 August 2006 (UTC) Yes, the Colonna still exist. They are still the owners of the Palace. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.65.197.164 (talk) 20:09, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Prösels Castle

[edit]

My weird edit summary here should have read: ‘Restore link to Prösels Castle. Its owners claimed, at least, membership of the Colonna castle family, and their coat of arms depicted in that article includes the Colonna column.’ Sorry to have confused. Refs for current status section

[edit]

The ref for The History of the Popes: Their Church and State (Volume III) by Leopold von Ranke (Wellesley College Library, reprint; 2009) needs a full citation. The archive.org link is dead, and no Wellesley College Library 2009 edition seems to be available through Google Books. The original edition was published in 1870, and a search in this version found nothing for "Colonna di Stigliano". The mention of Colonna is from the time of Pope Clement VIII, and thus says nothing about the current descendants. Page 213 in Papal Genealogy: The Families and Descendants of the Popes looks more helpful. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 23:49, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
