Colorimetry[edit]

@Dicklyon: Hey, I see you reverted someone else's attempts to redirect this page to colorimetry instead of color back in 2009. I'd like to take another look at that. Colorimetry seems like the much more intuitive redirect. Plus, looking at the incoming links to color science, most of them would work best by being forwarded to colorimetry. Do you have an objection? Curran919 (talk) 21:54, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

also note the category of color science in the color topics template even leads directly to colorimetry. Curran919 (talk) 22:36, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I think color science is a lot broader than colorimetry. But open a discussion at Talk:Color and I'll go with the flow. Dicklyon (talk) 22:52, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I made this into a stub article. Hopefully it will grow. I think this article can probably be a broader overview of the field with less technical detail and more description of history, social structures (e.g. degree programs, journals, prizes, international organizations, relation to industry), etc. –jacobolus (t) 02:37, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
