Untitled[edit]

I put the recently announced CRJ order here, because I presume (thought its not a guarantee) that the aircraft will end up with Comair, and NOT be used for Delta's mainline (as indicated by the comment that Delta needs the craft for feeder operations). If otherwise happens I'll update it. 24.88.79.249 22:53, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I question the veracity and intent of the poster who authored the following paragraph:

On March 26, 2001, Comair's pilots went on strike. The strike cancelled the airline's flights and grounded its fleet. The strike ended 89 days later when a new contract was agreed to. However, there were seeds sown of a bitter animosity between the Delta pilot group and Comair. During the labor dispute in early 2001, there were some Delta pilots who contributed financially to the strike funds of Comair pilots. Like many legacy carriers, Delta furloughed a number of pilots after the attack of 9/11/2001. While waiting to be recalled, some Delta pilots were able to find work at some of the regionals such as Atlantic Southeast Airlines, who were not hit nearly as hard as the major airlines. However, a furloughed Delta pilot could only be hired at Comair if he/she resigns his/her seniority number with Delta Air Lines and thus, there were very few furloughed Delta pilots who went to Comair. This would intensify a rift between both parties.[2]

The only citation for this a link to an internet chat room topic thread. These are not a credible source of information or vetting...for anything.

As a pilot for Delta present during the above timeframe and still active, I can state that there was no "rift" nor "bitter animosity" between Delta and Comair pilots. There is absolutely no credible evidence to support the assertions of any kind of rift or animosity. The implied purpose of this paragraph seems to be that somehow, Delta pilots conspired or sought retribution on Comair. That assertion is utterly false. Delta and Comair pilots belong to the same union: ALPA. If anything, I recall the Delta pilot group being supportive when Comair pilots chose to strike and ensuring there was no struck flying performed. A brief google search will reveal that any credible professional business journal or reporting of Comair's demise makes absolutely no mention of a "rift" or "bitter animosity" between pilot groups anywhere nor at any time being any kind of factor in Delta management's decision to close Comair. The paragraph sounds more like an (understandably) upset former Comair employee who lost their job lashing out than any credible fact.

Wikipedia editors: this needs to be removed or at the very least flagged as not credible. All of Wikipedia credibility suffers when any type of glaring falsehood is allowed to remain. I have tried to alert you to this error, edit this page, and communicate this on a prior occasion. I am not a Wiki editor though and unsure how to proceed with this so if there is a procedure or any other information you may need, please communicate this here and I will check back. Fair use rationale for Image:Comair logo.gif[edit]

Image:Comair logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Photo request[edit]

Is Cincinnati Airport convenient to where you are? If so, the Comair article needs an image of the Comair headquarters on the Cincinnati Airport grounds? Would you mind uploading an image of the headquarter building? Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 18:23, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Are we actually listing a ground collision without any injuries in a list in which we had plane crashes and people who died? This shouldn't be listed there... Slasher-fun (talk) 21:01, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
