5x expanded by Longhornsg (talk). Self-nominated at 00:51, 31 August 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Committee for the Prevention of Destruction of Antiquities on the Temple Mount; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

  • This just qualifies as a 5x expansion and was nominated in time. It's a appropriately written article based on appropriate sources. The hook gets to the heart of the issue and is verifiable in the LA Times. It's a long hook, but not unduly complex and it's just within the 200-prose-character guideline. Earwig finds no copyright violation. QPQ done. I've made some very minor tweaks for the sake of style and consistency. I think this is good to go. Not affecting the DYK nomination, but I think it would benefit the causal reader to give a couple of sentences of basic background, for example to say that the Temple Mount is the holiest site of Judaism. Thanks for wading into a controversial area and greatly an improving an article which is useful to readers. MartinPoulter (talk) 16:34, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
