Tony Oldfield

[edit]

Did he actually run as a CPA candidate? The ABC website seems to list him (on the ballot at least) as being unaffiliated - http://www.abc.net.au/elections/nsw/2012/council/?page=Auburn#Council I'm not doubting that Mr Oldfield is a CPA member and it's probably legitimate to count him on the ticker since we normally change the numbers if someone did this in a state or federal parliament but perhaps the wording in the article needs to be changed slightly? Splitters - ACP

[edit]

There was recently another split, with splitting members forming the “Australian Communist Party”. This should be reflected in the article.Locochoko (talk) 13:09, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Here’s their website for anyone interested - https://www.auscp.org.au/militantmonthly Locochoko (talk) 13:15, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Communist Party redirects to the old CPA, so I have removed the link. Unless someone makes an article for the ACP, there is no point in having a link.--Jack Upland (talk) 10:05, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
There was a page for the Australian Communist Party but it was deleted. Catiline52 (talk) 11:09, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Typical. Was it deleted by the ACP, the CPA, the CAP, the PAC, or the CIA?--Jack Upland (talk) 11:11, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just typical non-notability reasons, not many sources on the topic since it's probably just half a dozen people. Catiline52 (talk) 11:53, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
As of 2022 the ACP is probably still too small and not sufficiently notable to warrant an article as mentioned in the previous comment 11893945AA (talk) 09:04, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
