What is this article about?[edit]

It seems to me that this is just a summary of lithification, a definition of what compaction means, and a reference to landfills which can be compacted. Wouldn't it make more sense to make this a disambiguous page and link to the various kinds of compaction articles? I'm not sure what this article is supposed to consist of otherwise since compaction can refer to such different things. -- Basar (talk · contribs) 00:45, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree that this should be a disambiguation page. Non-lithification text should be moved to a new article, perhaps titled Waste compaction into which Landfill compaction vehicle should be merged. ZueJay (talk) 17:54, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
