The park's website seems active in 2010 and there are user reviews from April 2010 on various sites. No newspaper reports of closure can be found on Google. The whole Closure section is moved here until confirmation of accuracy. 21st CENTURY GREENSTUFF 10:20, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

===Closure===

After 88 years of operation, the park finally closed its doors for the last time in October 2008. The official reason cited in the local press was that the number of users had fallen since 2006, and also to the UK recession of the era deemed that the operating a pleasure park of such a small size was no longer practical; however, the park had been labelled with a negative stigma since the series of accidents reported between 1994 and 2000; this stigma continued to hamper the park's reputation thereafter, and it was never able to fully recover from the stigma of the fatal Water Chute accident in 1994.

In September 2009 the park's removal commenced and this will be completed during 2010. It is unclear what, if anything, will replace the amusement park on the original site.
