Very well written article with little, to no mistakes. Some sentences seem to be TOO much, as in super long sentences. [[Ex: The CBFP works closely with the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC), the regional body in charge of forests and environmental policy, coordination and harmonisation, with an objective of promoting conservation and sustained management of the Congo Basin's ecosystem.[2] ]] .

Also if you have some extra time, it wouldnt hurt to add some more info to the lead section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.165.43.164 (talk) 22:53, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article is well written with most of the basic content covered well. I would edit the lead to include a good summary of what the article includes and why the article was written. One of Wikipedia's main concerns is plagiarism so be careful when including quotes directly from a cite or source. Here is an example of a quote searched in google that was found in multiple sources, "to protect forests through the harmonization of forest policies, protected areas, regulations against poaching, and the adoption of practices for sustainable forest use." The third sentence and the last sentence in the first section of the article can be reworded to sound a little more presentable. If you can find more information on the history and how the Partnership is ran that would be great information to add. Overall the article is well written and has a great foundation to build on.Cewilds (talk) 04:17, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Funding

[edit]

The sum of the figures listed in the section on 'Funding' is inconsistent with the amount of total funding cited at the bottom of the previous section. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 14:31, 5 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Formal organization?

[edit]

From the article as currently written, it's not clear whether this is a formal organization. It is referred to as a 'partnership', an 'association', etc. Best as I can discern, though, there is no secretariat; those duties seem to be taken up by the Central African Forest Commission. In which case, the Congo Basin Forest Partnership may not be an organization, proper. Is this correct? Please clarify... Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 11:58, 5 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
