Relation Orchestra - Conservatorium[edit]

There're no references for the relationships between orchestras and music schools. The relationship between Institutions such as Curtis [1], Cleveland and orchestras Philadelphia Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra are part of the foundational principles of the above mentioned music schools (It is a well known fact that the mentioned schools were created as an extension of the orchestra), but I am not sure this is also true for Amsterdam and London. Actually, in the case of London, the London Symphony Orchestra, has a partnership with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music, and not with the Royal College Music, which keeps a closer relationship with the London Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestras. Also, it is not true that London's Royal College of Music is the training ground for orchestral players to fill the ranks of the LSO. Most players of the LSO teach or are alumni of the GSMD or the RAM. [2]

So, any references for this "relationship" CvA - Concertgebouw Orchestra?? Until then I think it should be deleted. --Karljoos (talk) 20:54, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Karljoos. In the above text I read an assumption about how things might work at CvA. I did not see any information with (or even without) references about the institution. gidonb (talk) 15:07, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
