3[edit]

Why is Jack White listed as Jack White III here? He isn't the third Jack White in the traditional sense, especially since it's not his birth name. Did he credit himself as Jack White III on this album because of his obsession with the number 3? I think either this should be explained or he should be listed as Jack White.--Teiladnam (talk) 11:22, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not actually sure about the "3" thing but it mentions also Jack as producer Jack White III in the Broken Boy Soldiers article (in the infobox more specifically) but that also doesn't expain why. AngelOfSadness talk 17:09, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm pretty sure his birth name isn't Jack White III as well. Another side note about them album, the track Carolina Drama seems to be a reimagining of the Pickens County Bandits song "Ask the Milkman", and last lines of the track reference it as well.69.220.15.48 (talk) 23:53, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's not his birth name, but it is how he's credited on the album's liner notes.--JD554 (talk) 09:56, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jack sometimes credits himself as the third. And any one who's even remotely a fan of his knows he is obssessed with thte number three. He even used the stage name three quid a few years ago. For more info, read his wikipedia article.--Esprit15d • talkcontribs 16:01, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But does this justify the "III" in this article? Even though it says it in the sleeve, it's not his name. If the sleeve said "Jackos Whiteskus", would that be written here? I say put his name in without the III. PN57  02:32, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes it does. And with it being wikilinked to Jack White there isn't any confusion. --JD554 (talk) 10:28, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vinyl[edit]

Like the last White Stripes album is the vinyl version significantly different to the CD? AJUK Talk!! 14:56, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
