Construction grip is an exclusively new york term and who's responsibility falls under the Swing gang which is part of the Art department. Grips and are generally prohibited by union regulations from touching anything related to set or props as those are the exclusive domain of the Art department. if "Construction grip" needs to be merged with anything, it should be with Swing gang and not Grip (job).
Proposal to merge with Set construction[edit]
This article is fairly useless on its own, and rather should be a subsection with other similar but distinct roles of the craft; I propose this page be merged/morphed into Set construction, which is already a multiple-Wikiproject article (stage craft; film; television.) --Strangerpete (talk) 12:27, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
