Process, not software

[edit]

Contract management is an activity that can sometimes be helped by software, but contract management isn't software. Software is a polular tool in some developed countries, but many contracts have been and are still managed without software. So I think it's best to discuss what contract management entails, rather than get into contract management IT systems.

I took a shot at improving the intro, but I'm sure it's not complete. Please help. --SueHay 23:37, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

this bit in the first paragraph doesn't seem to make sense

[edit]

"Contract management includes negotiating the terms and conditions in contracts and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions"

it says "terms and conditions" twice. i don't know much about this topic but i'm sure something needs altering. maybe just something like, "Contract management includes negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with the terms and conditions" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elmarko99 (talkcontribs) 15:03, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong German article linked

[edit]

The German article linked in the sidebar (Kontraktmanagement) refers to a certain management style in public agencies, the subject matter of the English article is dealt with in https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertragsmanagement

I cannot edit the link myself due to some Wikidata item already linked. The Wikidata item seems seems pointless, but I don't understand enough about it to simply delete it. --Ildottoreverde (talk) 16:54, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
