Cooney Information update[edit]

In 1982 the height of the dam was raised to 102 feet and lengthened. As Cooney Dams stands now it is 500 feet across the face of the dam, crest length is 2,369, at full pool it holds 28,230 acre-feet or 1,078 surface acres at normal pool. Cooney State Park encompasses the reservoir on all sides.
