Racing

[edit]

Copenhagen wasn't such a bad racehorse: he beat the St Leger winner Ambrosio at "weight-for-age" at Huntingdon.  Tigerboy1966  01:14, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

striking: wrong "Ambrosio".  Tigerboy1966  01:18, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Nic Fiddian-Green

[edit]

There's a sculpture of the horse, by Nic Fiddian-Green, at Wellington College, Berkshire. I'm after a picture of it, for the artist's biography, Can anyone help, please? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:57, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Age of the turkey oak

[edit]

It's not helpful to say that the Turkey Oak is 169 years old - is that now, at the time the article was drafted, or when the horse died? I thought I'd comment here first, but it seems like a good idea to delete this unreliable piece of information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.162.107.11 (talk) 22:47, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It was planted in 1843 after the horse died, as stated in the article. The age of the tree auto updates now based on the year. Froggerlaura ribbit 04:10, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Frances Lady Shelley writes in her diaries (see archive.org) that she was allowed to ride Copenhagen on more than one occasion when in Europe in 1815. 100.15.129.3 (talk) 23:48, 5 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
