Start class article[edit]

According to Wikipedia:Start-Class, the classification requires that, "The article has a usable amount of good content but is weak in many areas.

"...the article should satisfy fundamental content policies such as wp:notability and BLP, [it does, featuring a notable person who is both an elected member of the State legislature and a delegate to a Constitutional Convention -- see wp:politician.] ..."and provide sources to establish verifiability. [It does here, whether from Pulliam, the Biographical Directory of Congress, or Brenaman.]

"No Start-Class article should be in any danger of being speedily deleted.” TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 08:29, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

more work needed[edit]

Again, the Pulliam 1901 bio on which this article was based had serious issues, which I resolved with the aid of a modern biography in the hard copy of the new Dictionary of Virginia Biography, even though in this family only that of his grandfather Carter Braxton was republished by encyclopediavirginia.org. Since the library at which I was working today had major wifi issues, which I hope was unrelated to the anonymous robocall from the Dallas area shortly after I began editing this morning, I was unable to load his census data to confirm the number of slaves he owned, much less the identities of his various children.Jweaver28 (talk) 00:23, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
