CorelliCorelli (disambiguation) – I am requesting that "Corelli" redirect to Arcangelo Corelli and thus the "Corelli" page be renamed "Corelli (disambiguation)".

Arcangelo Corelli is the primary topic of this group. He received 600,000 views since 2015, nearly 3 times that of the second most viewed page. He also has the best long-term relevancy, considering that he has this dominance while being the oldest by-far of these figures. It also seems that most of these figures are usually not referred to by solely their last name; the opera singer may be an exception here, but I believe that the composer's page views and relevancy still override this. • Oppose. I don't think Corelli has a clear primary topic. I would think Franco Corelli would be just as likely of a search target given his status as a major 20th century singer (if not more likely as he is a less obscure figure to the wider public; and is probably more well known to the average person than the baroque composer).4meter4 (talk) 00:23, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. No primary topic. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:41, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question: I wanted to close this, but WikiNav says [almost] all of the users are navigating to Arcangelo Corelli. Do we want to discount that as Wikipedia:Recentism? Pinging participants - Aza24, 4meter4, NecrothespDaxServer (t · m · e · c) 08:55, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The composer will always dominate any browser search, encyclopedia search etc. His long-term significance is much larger than the singer's. Furthermore, no one is looking up the singer by searching "Corelli". They're searching "Franco Corelli"...! I don't find the opposers arguments at all convincing, as they seem to not be built on measurable evidence. Aza24 (talk) 16:43, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Clear primary topic by both significance and usage, see Google Books for evidence of usage. Andrewa (talk) 03:27, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support – As demonstrated by DaxServer, readers searching for Corelli and landing on the disambiguation page want to read about "Arcangelo Corelli". -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:14, 22 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
