Trivia Section

The entire Trivia section of this article appears to be a copyright violation, cut and paste from this website:

Does anyone know the original source of the trivia that appears on this link?

I have removed the trivia section, as it appears to have been cut and pasted from the above listed site and that would make it a copyright violation.

Photo

There's a free (not copyrighted) photo used in the article. I'm removing the non-free one that's in the infobox now and replacing it with the free one. Forward to goal of making wikipedia truely free. Zytsef (talk) 22:18, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Someone needs to add the Corin Tucker Band. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.63.30.66 (talk) 05:03, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Corin Tucker. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Corin Tucker/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

== Suggestions to raise the quality of this article ==
  • The trivia section needs to be deleted or sourced properly.
  • The biography section needs to be expanded.
  • Corin's work with previous bands as well as work with Sleater-Kinney should be expanded on.
  • A clearer image should be added.

===List of Improvements===

I have deleted the unsourced trivia section, added a clearer promotional image and a musical artist infobox, as well as cleaning up the biography section and miscellaneous spelling/grammar/layout edits.

Use of first name in article

My edits stating that you don't use people's first names in encyclopedia articles was reverted with the statement "not in cases like these". And what sort of case is this? And can you cite a Wikipedia policy for that? Please note that there are several other places in the article in which she is referred to as "Tucker", so whichever way this article goes, that needs to be made consistent. The only reason she should need to be referred to as Corin is if there were another person mentioned in the article named Tucker and it needed to be made clear about which one was being talked about. Sexuality

Is this woman really bisexual? She's in the category, but nothing in the article supports it.

Sophie8936 18:09, 26 January 2006 (UTC)She dated her bandmate, Carrie Brownstein. So, yes she is.

I always thought she was a lesbian... who married a man. Does that then make her bisexual, I don't know. But then again, I've never heard her label herself, so I'm unsure. --xsarahberries 05:02, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

It sounds more like youthful experimentation that has labeled her for life. I mean she dated Brownstein briefly when they were 20 years old.....its been men ever since.....shes married, settled down, and has two kids. A lesbian who married a man? Give me a break. The women is heterosexual.....Brownstein is a lesbian (to quote Seinfeld "not that theres anything wrong with that"). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.41.38.234 (talk) 17:34, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Whether she actually identifies as bisexual or not, I think the wording is wrong. "Tucker identifies as a bisexual." Someone is not an adjective. She could be "a bisexual woman" or "identifies as bisexual." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.108.165.248 (talk) 20:44, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Gear list seem like too much detail.

The gear list strikes me odd.
