Should the fact that the musician is blind be in the introduction? ChildofMidnight (talk) 07:26, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

I'm not aware of any consensus on this - for instance, the article on Ray Charles doesn't mention it in the lede, and my preference would be not to give it undue emphasis - he is notable for his musical achievements not his blindness per se, and he was only blind for the last 15 or so years of his life.
