Who was at the Controls?

The plane Lidle was in had two sets of controls. Therefore, no one at the moment can say for sure who was flying the plane at impact or at any other time of the flight. This may be determined after an NTSB investigation, but that's months away. I'm therefore changing any wording that says Lidle was piloting or at the conrols and the like to reflect the fact that it's unknown. --Spiff666 14:13, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Please Remove the Controversies. I know it may seem odd but it wasn't even a large deal. Many players have this after they leave a team includng Abreu, Alex Rodriguez and more.

Seriously - "FBI Believes" is not the same thing as a confirmation. As of yet, I haven't seen any real confirmation that he's dead. Just because ESPN or Fox News says he's dead doesn't mean he is. They have no source of confirmation. It's poor journalism, giving a definitive answer with nothing to back it up.

What if someone else was using his plane and his passport was just in the plane? He is very likely dead, but without true confirmation I think people are irresponsibly jumping to conclusions.

This might help make sense out of why the sources have been so confused. WEEI (a sports radio station in Boston) reported tonight that at the time of the accident his wife and son were on a commercial flight heading to California and could not be reached. Presumably, official sources were trying to reach his family to tell them directly, so they didn't hear this on the news, but rumors got out of hand. Rickterp 02:55, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

The bottom line is, Lidle is presumed dead, not dead. No body has been found. This page should not list him as deceased. October 13th, 1:07 AM eastern time

The bottom line is, Lidle is presumed dead, not dead. No body has been found. This page should not list him as deceased.

Terrorism / Accident?

http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20567155-2,00.html - it says he only just got his license, and his flight instructor was the other person killed - I'd say it was inexperience. It seems everyone in the apartment block has survived - I don't know how serious the injuries are.

The image was created the plane hitted 19th floor on the bourder of Manhattan and Queens in the main New agencies and only later it was changed into 40th (the first image was huge, coreection -neglibble). We understand, what could mean 19th after 11 09 2001

The picture of the airplane is a cessna 172, not the Cirrus CR-20 he was flying today. Fox News TV reported that it was a CR-20, and Mayor Bloomberg stated that it was a composite airplane and mostly burned up, not the aluminum that the cessna is made from.

Confirming dental records and DNA is going to take a very long time; I think it's prudent enough to put it on the page since most news networks are confirming it. He called a radio show just a couple of days ago to defend himself over the hosts ripping some of his quotes. He called in right away.
