is this guy even jewish????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.83.225.219 (talk) 00:19, 17 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, Schneider is of Swiss ancestry and also holds Swiss citizenship: http://www.blick.ch/sport/eishockey/nla/meine-vorfahren-stammen-aus-rapperswil-id2125342.html -37.30.10.48 (talk) 16:55, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think the prospect status should go away. He played for the Canucks already, and has already been sent down. 205.200.0.105 (talk) 17:50, 16 January 2009 (UTC) Usually the prospect status goes away after the player has achieved a permanent status on an NHL club. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.83.225.219 (talk) 01:11, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shutouts record

[edit]

Couldn't find a proper reference for Schneider's career record of 12 shutouts with Manitoba, so I'm leaving it here. Orlandkurtenbach (talk) 08:36, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That is a stat I would hope to find in the Canucks Media Guide, if you can get a hold of one. I see Vancouver is one of a few teams that won't put theirs online. Resolute 16:33, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace

[edit]

I've seen sources that say Schneider was born in Rochester, NY. The listed source for the birthplace in this article, Marblehead, MA, says nothing about where he was born, just that he's a Marblehead native. A quick Google search turns up nothing conclusive. Thoughts? Powers T 14:37, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The NHL, Hockey News, Hockey Hall of Fame, and Fox Sports all have him from Marblehead in their player profiles. There are a couple of articles on line that stat Marblehead, one from the The [ http://www.nj.com/devils/index.ssf/2013/11/devils_cory_schneider_could_play_in_switzerland_before_career_is_over.html Star-Ledger] in New Jersey and one from The Daily Item in Lynn MA. Are you sure your looking at the right Cory Schneider? the first result from a Google search on the name and Rochester turns up a player who is playing for Ohio State University. Ah, okay. I was coming from a link someone had added to List of people from Rochester, New York. They must have meant the Ohio State Schneider, and I didn't look closely enough to distinguish them. Powers T 23:50, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
