Should something about John Rigas, the Rigas family, and the Adelphia scandal be included in this article. The small town was the center of one the the nations biggest fraud. --Garrett C

A reference book at Pattee Library in the University Park Campus of Penn State says that the surveying of Coudersport was paid for by a man from Holland named Mr. Couder. As the Alleghany River runs through the middle of the area, it was logically called Couder's Port, or Coudersport. - Susan Mitchell —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.98.245.137 (talk) 17:44, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the note about the band "The Slant." After a pretty thorough investigation, I can say with confidence that this information is not fitting to be on the main page for Coudersport, PA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.92.241.41 (talk) 22:42, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
