core/elective classes
[edit]shouldn't there be something noting the difference between required core classes and electives? --75.177.117.118 (talk) 01:16, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
Hierarchy of studies
[edit]IIRC, in the US you have an activity (like a lecture) that is part of a course (which we in AU call a subject or unit) and then a degree (which we call a course). I was looking for/expecting this hierarchy to appear somewhere in these articles (Academic major, course, etc.) Natebailey (talk) 11:31, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Article biased toward definition of "american courses"
[edit]The article might be better titled "Course (American Education)". The latter 2/3 of the article is focused only on this. It should probably be condensed and given a wider scope.Editfromwithout (talk) 06:25, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Course numbering section should be a separate article
[edit]The section on course numbering should be a separate article, US college course numbering. --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 00:38, 22 April 2022 (UTC)
