Expansion

[edit]

This article about European practice is heavily based on German examples. Please feel free to expand it with examples from European or other countries that follow similar (nowadays UIC-based) practice and terminology. Note that US practice is covered at Gondola (rail). --Bermicourt (talk) 18:00, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A note

[edit]

@Voidxor: Hello, Can you incorporate (copy) this note

{{Efn|An exception in Australia was the former [[South Australian Railways]], which adopted US practices and terminologies; it used the term "boxcar".<ref>{{cite conference |title=The Snowtown to Port Pirie line |first=Des |last=McAuliffe |date=1999 |book-title=Proceedings of the 1999 Convention  |location=Adelaide |conference=Modelling the Railways of South Australia }}</ref>{{rp|1{{nbhyph}}129}}<!--A non-breaking hyphen is used here because the numerals do not represent a range of pages but one page numbered with four digits and a hyphen.-->}}

 Done I think you nearly had it. The oddity is that the footnote contains a reference within it. Hope that helps! – voidxor 20:31, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
