Cranbourne Bilateral School
[edit]I've no idea what a bilateral school is or was, and couldn't find a reference on wikipedia to point to, can anyone help and perhaps enlighten the rest of the world to this major omission at Education in England? Mighty Antar 19:46, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Major events?
[edit]I've cut out the following material as no sources are given. See WP:V however if true they are good bits to have in the school history. Surely both events must have been publicised in the local paper?
Major events
Flooding of Administration Corridor:
Overnight on Wednesday 21 July 2005 a water cistern burst flooding the administration corridor. Professionals were called and deemed things to be satisfactory. However, when the Fire alarm went off it became clear it wasn't. Staff and Students were evacuated and remained so until the deicsion was taken to close the college early. Over the summer - staff worked their way through reams of sodden paperwork to ensure the college could run smoothly in the new September term.
Tank in the school!
Sometime in the early 80's (1983) an ex-student requested a week-ends leave from the army, which he was refused. In protest he 'stole' a tracked vehicle and journeyed through the night to the school, where he drove it onto what is now the senior playground. Humourous as it may seem it actually caused extensive damage to the drainage system.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
In 2007 Leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave a lecture on International Relations and Equality to the year 11 students at CBEC. This definitely happened and it has been fully sourced so stop erasing it from this page, ask anyone from Cranbourne. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.0.185.200 (talk) 20:37, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Mahmoud Ahmedinajad has never visited Cranbourne
[edit]The reference to Mahmoud Ahmedinajad visiting Cranbourne appears to have been entered as a hoax. There was a link to some 'evidence', which turned out to be a badly photoshopped picture hosted on a free website. If President Ahmedinajad had indeed visited the school, it would have been widely reported in local and national media. Since no such links have been provided, I have removed the reference. -- Cardbourde (talk) 14:56, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
