Holdings in Nebraska

[edit]

I've changed the sentence concerning holdings in Nebraska. Of Train's holdings in Omaha, Council Bluffs, and Columbus, Upstream Metropolis says not "acres" but "lots". I've changed Omaha and CB accordingly. I've changed the Columbus figure to the "several hundred lots" given by Margaret Curry. Curry was based in Columbus and writing primarily about Columbus and Platte County, whereas it was very much a side issue for Larsen et al. Moreover, the bibliographic section of Upstream Metropolis suggests that Larsen et al. might've got their numbers from Train's autobiography, and Train doesn't seem to have been the sort of person who'd be above exaggerating something like that. I'm therefore more comfortable with Curry's number.

Not a big deal to me, and I appreciate your interest in the article. You might be interested in any of the other Omaha-related articles I've created, which are mostly listed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Freechild/Omaha - or in the WikiProject Omaha, whose members are listed at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WPOma#Members

I hope I see you around more! • Freechild'sup? 18:01, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
