It was a 15 minute programme, this is how he began it, after the jingle "This is Vijay Merchant, playing cricket with you once again, and wishing all my listeners a good afternoon! Signing off as "This is Vijay Merchant wishing au revoir to you all but not before reminding you my listeners your date with me on Sunday next at two India afternoon, for your programme, "Cricket with Vijay Merchant". The quotes may have a few words here and there, as I have written them based on childhood memories of sprawling on the floor after a Sunday meal, father on his "easy chair"... Need more sources. I could never decipher the jingle of the sponsor Thakerseys, Merchant's own cotton mills. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 20:52, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- Oh and it was on "Vividh bharati chya jahirat prasan seve chaya mumbai kendra", on 252.5 m/ 1180 kHz. How does one translate jahirat prasaran seva? Can't find a good source for that. Yogesh Khandke (talk) 20:56, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
