@TheTastyWord: There is no need to sign the administrative banners at the top of a talk page. They are not posts, and the page history records your contributions. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 20:53, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your message. It is a requirement of the organization that I'm working for to include the banner. TheTastyWord (talk) 21:07, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@TheTastyWord: Thanks for the prompt reply. I have no problems with adding the OKA banner. However, WP:SIGNHERE indicates there is no need to follow the banner with your signature. Signing your work on a talk page conveys an impression of OWNERSHIP of some form, which is not the case. If you want to explain your reasons for translating the article from another language, your welcome to commence a separate post, but just leaving a signature is an issue because it suggests the page has either been vandalized to erase all comments or there is some other ulterior motive at play. In the simplest terms, its a syntax error, or an unexpected signature token in the wrong place on the page. Generally, signatures follow comments posted on talk pages. A signature without a preceding comment indicates a mistake in Talk page etiquette. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 21:35, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
