Crisis (magazine) redirect[edit]

With Crisis (magazine) redirecting to The Crisis, how to name the article on "Crisis, an American Roman Catholic magazine?..." userX 01:20, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about Crisis (catholic magazine) ? Madder 02:34, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think properly, Crisis (magazine) should be about the Roman Catholic journal, which should have an {{otheruses4}} hatnote pointing to The Crisis. However, I don't have enough information to establish notability for a Crisis stub. The publication is mentioned in the Deal W. Hudson bio.
Without enough information make a satisfying stub, I've changed Crisis (magazine) into a DAB page, with an excessive (by WP:DAB standards) description for Crisis. / edg 11:57, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons for moving bulleted items:[edit]

Comic books aren't usually grouped together with more serious literature. Also, some readers might question whether the bands listed thus far (all within a narrow range of popular music) actually make music. I'll create a new category for these entries called "Popular Culture" so that the categories will be better defined. Woodlandpath 01:26, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Periodicals = Literature?[edit]

Anonymous poster removed the word Periodicals from "Literature and Periodicals" heading, with edit summary that Periodicals ARE Literature.

Periodicals might contain literature (in the form of short stories, essays, etc.). But the difference between periodicals (ie, that they are issued periodically, that they often contain contributions from numerous authors, etc.) and literature is so vast that is hardly bears discussion. All one need do is go into any library and note that there is usually a separate room or wing for the periodicals.

However, I'll leave this edit stand, if only to avoid a revert war. Woodlandpath 18:32, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removed items[edit]

As per MOS:DAB, I've removed everything accessible from crisis or Category:Crises. Having said which, the crisis page is a big mess, and the Category:Crises is underpopulated. jnestorius(talk) 12:55, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
