The founding of Crisis Cafes?

[edit]

I am trying to search for the founder of the mental health crisis cafe's as I believe it could possibly have been my initial idea. I made a Business plan about it and gave this to a place I worked at (Capital Project Org) in 2014. I had named it A relapse intervention plan in my business case having come up with the idea for it after working with people with mental health illness for 3 years as a NHS support worker. I later emailed my idea to a NHS CCG worker in mental health while I was contracting in London at North West London CCG. I have tried to find out by asking NHS England but they can't help me. I wondered if anyone would be willing to help signpost me to someone or something that would perhaps know? I tried to google searching the first crisis cafe but this one was for homeless people and did not mention the links to mental health and the most fundamental part of the crisis cafe idea which was to prevent relapsing for those with mental health problems. I have the Business plan and email I sent still in my possession for anyone who would like proof. I had told the worker in the CCG because I had wanted someone to take on my idea and in this email I had mentioned the use of a cafe for the place that people would be able to access as a public resource. I had my business case but no funds and no connections to be able to make this a reality myself. I know the there are lots of them out there now, not just the NHS but also charity's. I don't know any other way of finding out? I would be very grateful if anyone with some knowledge of this could help. Mitis Vismaran (talk) 04:18, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
