Cristina VeeCristina Valenzuela - She prefers to be referred to by her full name[1] so we should change the page name accordingly.

Nintendo people

[edit]

Per WP:CATDEF, do not add Category:Nintendo people. She is not a staffer for Nintendo. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 13:18, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Cristina VeeCristina Valenzuela – Looks like it's time to discuss this again. It seems that the subject's now-preferred name has become their "new" WP:COMMONNAME. Seems that works featuring this person since 2021 now use the "Cristina Valenzuela" name to a point where their previous stage name could be considered less recognizable at present. I believe there to be enough recent acting credits and third-party sources using the "new" name to make it the "new" WP:COMMONNAME. • Comment Is there any clear proof that reliable sources have stopped using the "Vee" name altogether? She still uses it in her personal webpage (cristinavee.com) and her Twitter handle (@cristinavee). It does not seem to be a complete name change.
I also have to wonder if putting her middle name in the article at all is proper - it does not seem to have been widely published by reliable sources and seems a bit weird to be citing an offhand comment about it - see also WP:BLPPRIVACY. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 00:58, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it's a bit odd, but it seems a lot (but not all) sources are using "Valenzuela" now ... but I did find one that erroneously stated "Cristina Vee Valenzuela" ... which was odd. Steel1943 (talk) 01:09, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm maybe, looking at upcoming appearances:
Heroes Made in Asia (Netherlands) as Cristina Vee Valenzuela https://www.made-in-asia.nl/guests/
Collect-a-Con (Dallas/Ft. Worth) lists her as Cristina Vee: https://collectaconusa.com/dfw-special-guests/ - strange though that they share the same date as Heroes made in Asia so I don't know which one she is attending.
Anime Weekend Atlanta still has her as Cristina Vee: https://awa-con.com/guests/cristina-vee/ AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 01:16, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Vee is not her real middle name by the way. She did that to bridge the two stage names to say yes I'm the same person. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 01:17, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
On a similar note, should Grey Delisle be renamed to Grey Griffin? It's now been years since she changed her name there as well. AngusW🐶🐶F (barksniff) 01:24, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I meant the middle name that is currently listed as part of her full name in the article, not "Vee". However, the evidence found by AngusWoof casts a great deal of doubt on the claim that "Cristina Vee" is not the common name still. Otherwise she would be referred to strictly as Cristina Valenzuela in any of her appearances. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 02:08, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think the Grey Griffin phase is probably dead, or at least on life support, if the fact that she's back to using DeLisle on The Simpsons/Animaniacs/Paradise PD/Luck/Bayonetta is any indication. Nohomersryan (talk) 02:43, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Per discussion above, there isn't convincing proof given that the current title is not still a common name. It's used even in very recent appearances, indicating the public is unfamiliar with her full name in comparison. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 20:46, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
