I find it surprising that there's nothing on here about Croatian Kauri Gum Digging, which to some extent is an extremely important part of early Croatian New Zealanders. AbeSeverinsen (talk) 03:03, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It can't be referred to as 'Croatian' per se (see Te Ara). Care must be taken not to conflate Dalmatians in the broad territorial and cultural sense that the term was used with what the ethnicity explicitly referred to as 'Croatian' is in the contemporary understanding of nation-states.
