Name in English

[edit]

At least one source - a master's thesis - calls this the "Pure Party of the Right" which makes more sense to me. Does anyone have a definitive English-language name for this party? - Jmabel | Talk 18:17, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Croatian Pure Party of Rights [1] - by Croatian Information Documentation Referral Agency – HIDRA

The name of the party isn't associated with "right" (opposite of the left), but "right" in the meaning of law. Having a right to... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.114.38.22 (talk) 15:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, OK. But htn you say "of right", not "of rights" in plural! CROATIAN PARTY OF RIGHT —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.136.92.239 (talk) 09:28, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that in Croatian, the genitive cases of the words "pravo" (right) and "prava" (rights) are the same - "prava" (answering the question "čega?", "of what?"), so unless one translation is official or prevalent, it can go either way. Also, the name is derived from the Croatian Party of Rights, so this needs to be consistent. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 18:02, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Full name of party in it's start in 1861 was Stranka Hrvatskog Državnog Prava (Party of Croatian National Right), so the proper name is Croatian Pure Party of Right. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.2.104.205 (talk) 21:15, 20 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Chetniks"?

[edit]

Perhaps the party really uses the term "when referring to the Serbian community in Croatia" - I certainly wouldn't be surprised - but the citations provided do not back this. To be quite precise, the sentence could be understood in two ways:

  1. HČSP uses the term indiscriminately for all Serbs in Croatia
  2. HČSP uses the term for some Serbs in Croatia

Citations only back meaning #2, but #2 is a trivial claim; on top of that, this interpretation is quite a stretch given the actual wording of the article. GregorB (talk) 19:06, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(far) right and (ultra)nationalist

[edit]

I do not think these terms are appropriate. what is exactly difference between right and far-right?? --Añtó| Àntó (talk) 07:27, 17 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Far right is extreme right whereas right is not. HČSP is by all definitions extreme. Rosier (talk) 23:13, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

what a nonsense! Jean-Marie Le Pen is just right wing-not extreme. And this is??? NPOV please78.2.190.156 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:39, 13 January 2010 (UTC).[reply]

You may want to check his party's article then, National Front (France). It's far right as well. Rosier (talk) 07:01, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just wondering, by what means is HČSP far right? It's pure right wing. In Croatia, there is no far left or far right, so you may see SRP being described as far left or HČSP and even HSP (which is centr-right with slight natinal conservative tendencies recently) being described as far right by the Croatian media, what makes no sense at all. Out of these two "anti-semitic incidents", one is criticism of one Jewish company (the party criticises everyone who makes damage to Croatian people, even Croatian companies) and second is isolated incident by one member, who was probaly punished by the party after saying that, as party is against discrimination on religios, national or racial level. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.2.106.35 (talkcontribs)

Of course I can: http://www.hcsp.hr/nacela.php This is a list of their views.

"Zagovaranje mržnje i nasilja protivno je temeljnim čudorednim zasadama uljuđenoga čovječanstva i zapreka ostvarenju ljudskih prava i sloboda, demokracije i mirnog suživota među ljudima i narodima, pa se Hrvatska čista stranka prava protivi svim političkim strankama i svjetonazorima koji propovijedaju mržnju i nasilje prema bilo komu." => translation: "Promoting hate and violence is contrary to funamental moral principles of humenity and barrier in accomplishing human rights and freedom, democracy and peaceful life between people, so HČSP is against all political parties and ideologies which support hate and violence towards anyone."

=> translation: "Humanity is fundamental and most important value in the society, and every human has right to live from conception until death of natural causes, right on freedom of expressing his thoughts and religion, right on public gathering, ..., and all other rights written in the UN declaration about human rights, (and some other declarations)" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.137.45.175 (talk) 13:28, 27 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-fascism

[edit]

The party shows huge oposition to Italian fascists http://www.hcsp.hr/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1288021207&archive=&start_from=&ucat=3& —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.2.114.139 (talk) 18:06, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

More evidence about anti-fascism, the statement from their leader, Josip Miljak: "I mi smo iz Hrvatske čiste stranke prava antifašisti, ali antifašizam se mora razlikovati od ratnog zločina i ratnih zločinaca " => "And we from the HČSP are anti-fascists, but antifascism the difference must be made between the anti-fascism and war crimes and criminals"(btw, he was refering to the communist war criminals, like Tito and the rest) http://www.vecernji.hr/vijesti/josipovic-nece-titov-kumrovec-nego-ide-pracovjeku-krapinu-clanak-142413 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.137.55.247 (talk) 23:54, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Antisemitism

[edit]

Whats the point of this section? Just look at those incidents: 1 "On one of the election debates, party leader Josip Miljak stated that "profit of Croatian oil company serves to Jewish capital which goes into the pockets of George Soros and Croatia is left only with the pollution."[8] After this antisemitic statement, HNS's Goran Beus Richembergh and SDP's Tonino Picula left the studio and refused to talk about the involvement of Soros' Zionist influence in Croatian politics." => How is this antisemitic? He hadn't stated anything versus jews in general, but versus one particular man of jewish origins.

2. "Another antisemitic incident happened when an HČSP member in another debate stated: Whoever doesn't listen to Thompson's music in Croatia is a Jew who hates Croats[9]." => This wasn't even stated by a member of HČSP, but by a member of HP (Hrvatski Pravaši) - the party which doesn't exist in that form anymore, but which now forms Autochtonous Party of Rights. The member is Andrija Ružek: http://www.astigospe.com/2007/11/22/andrija-ruek-idovi/ ; http://politopedia.net/index.php?title=Andrija_Ru%C5%BEek ; http://www.jutarnji.hr/v--izborna-jedinica/274527/ See? He was never a member of HČSP. HeadlessMaster (talk) 15:54, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

This page should be protected by editing by non-registered users. Some very rude political provocations were commited against HČSP at Wikipedia, like calling them neonazi party, accusing them of statements which were stated by other party members, etc. HeadlessMaster (talk) 16:09, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship with HSP

[edit]

They are in good relationship with HSP now. http://www.hcsp.hr/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1293379482&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1& HeadlessMaster (talk) 19:51, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Italian irredentism

[edit]

It says the party is opposed to Italian irredentism. Exactly which Croatian or Slovenian party supports Italian irredentism with the exception of Italian groups themselves? Staro Gusle (talk) 10:23, 6 May 2013 (UTC) Striking out sockpuppet. bobrayner (talk) 22:48, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
