'Famous Person Dylan Thompson'

[edit]

No offence meant, but who is "famous person" Dylan Thompson?

  • I don't think that he will take much offence, "Exile". Although he's quite popular, he aint famous. Good man nevertheless.

Joey Barton

[edit]

I live in Widnes, and it's well known that footballer, Joey Barton, lives in Cronton. Maybe we should mention this? Jake.rhcp.utd 20:01, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Barton lives in Widnes, The new estate behind the Tavern. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.33.132.40 (talk) 13:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC) You are correct. Joey Barton does live in Widnes. Former Manchester United and England footballer Steve Coppell used to live in Hall Lane in Cronton whilst he was still playing for United. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.1.9.127 (talk) 13:13, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merseyside or Cheshire?

[edit]

the article says that it is in Merseyside yet the infobox says Cheshire. Which is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.234.184.77 (talk) 20:38, 6 April 2012 (UTC) Cronton is actually within Merseyside although the postal address is Widnes, Cheshire. Cronton was part of the Widnes Lancashire until the early seventies when Merseyside was formed and Widnes became part of Halton Cheshire. The Border to the South is Rose Farm in Chapel lane and to the East at Pex Hill gates. So what was known as Cronton Sixth Form College is actually in Widnes as is the Tigers Rugby club in Chapel lane and the surrounding housing estates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.1.9.127 (talk) 13:07, 19 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
