Cub Scouts/Macaoimh[edit]

Shouldn't the name of this article be Cub Scouts/Macaoimh or Scouting Ireland Cub Scouts/Macaoimh or something? For those of you on the Scouting Ireland Chat forum see here. --Ablaze (talk) 15:20, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Without delving too much into the politics of it, RAP will change it all anyway (and the scouts.ie forum couldnt be a worse example of reliable info!!). At the moment this article concentrates on the Fiannaíocht system which more prevalent than the "Cub Scout" programme and which is of specific interest to Scouting Ireland and is internationally unique. If info on the non-Fiannaíocht system are put into the articles then I'd have no problem with a name change.... Stevecull 16:56, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Would it make be better to have too articles, one for the cub programme (arrow badges, merit badges, kubuk etc) and a side page for the macaoimh programme(like the sea scout page). Remember the macaoimh programme isn't widespread ::As far as I know, they both share the same programme. No? ~ Ablaze (talk) 22:31, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Macaoimh programme is a type of cub programme. This article focuses on that aspect (clans, ris etc). As far as i know the macaoimh isn't as widespread anymore. Should we try to develop this page to include info on both types of programme or should be have two semi-independant pages???? BazKennedy 09:48, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
