Expansion needed[edit]

Content needs to be expanded; While Cuban's eat "pastelito's" they are not uniquely Cuban.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.2.179.79 (talkcontribs) 05:24, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If "pastelitos" are not uniquely Cuban, then there should be a broad pastelito article covering them all (like empanada) and should not redirect here. Currently, pasteles has its own page, and "pastelillo" redirects to empanada. In this lead, if it should stay as "Cuban pastry"; it is almost strictly pastelito. Pastelillo is a Puerto Rican/US term and currently has no article in Spanish. Other Latin-American countries simply called it an empanada. Savvyjack23 (talk) 02:04, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
To add, there is no "Pastelito" page on the Spanish wikipedia on its own. It in fact directs to pastelitos criollos, sweet Argentine pastries. Savvyjack23 (talk) 02:12, 22 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
