Needs cleaning up

This page needs cleaning up. Example: The reference to pygmies is a bit dubious. Pygmies in "the west" of Uganda constitute about 0.02 of the total population, whereas Banyankole, Bakiga, Batoro, Banyoro, Banyarwanda etc (all who live in the west) have not been mentioned. I know I shouldn't complain but edit the article instead. I intend to. Ezeu 01:46, 19 July 2005 (UTC)

Someone wrote the following under the music section:

"The person who wrote this wikipedia knows nothing about the cultures of Uganda. Neither does he or she know the ethnic groups of Uganda. Attempting to assign definitions from a Eurocentric perspective to Ugandans is an insult to the people. Please leave the writing about Ugandans to Ugandans. Why is your interest still having colonial connotations? Please leave the writing of Ugandan cultures to the members of various cultures in Uganda."

And then under language: "On the contrary, English is widely spoken because the British imposed it there for over 100 years. We do not have to master English in order to do business. Uganda is de-Europeanizing anyhow."

I reverted the sections back to how they were and reposted their statement here. 69.14.30.165 (talk) 00:53, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
