Dimension, values[edit]

What's the dimension of cumulative incidence? Could someone provide an example and some typical figures? Palpalpalpal (talk) 16:27, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is a probability and hence formally dimensionless. You might want to think of it as the ratio between two counts. Melcombe (talk) 11:54, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Definitions[edit]

Lifetime risk and cumulative incidence are not equivalent in the case of competing risks. This could be the case where onset of a clinical condition (e.g. cancer, dementia) are the events of interest, and there is also a significant risk of dying before onset. I think the opening section unintentionally misrepresents things, and is therefore misleading. 152.78.16.169 (talk) 16:38, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
